What is EP-BB?

EP-BB (Electronic Partnership Broadband) is a communication process between your FUJIFILM Business Innovation Multifunction Device (MFD) and the FUJIFILM Business Innovation servers. This is a built-in function to your MFD. 

The information that is currently shared is the devices Meter Reading and Consumable Alerts, allowing a hassle-free management process for our customers

The Multifunction Device (MFD) will communicate directly to the FUJIFILM Business Innovation EP data centre. Data transmitted through EP includes maintenance or counter information, such as billing meters, consumable alerts and usage counters. The information we receive comes through as shown below

If you have a Multifunction Device (MFD) there will be no requirement to have any software installed on your network as it is a built-in capability of the device

If you have a Printer, there will be a requirement for MCT (Meter Collection Tool) to be loaded on your server. As your Printer does not have the EP functionality built in and unable send data out directly, the MCT software will pull the meter read data from the Printer/s added to the software and send out to the EP data centre

EP and MCT will require network access and an internet connection. You will need to inform your FUJIFILM Business Innovation Sales Representative when the network information of your devices has changed or if your devices has been moved. For example, due to relocation of devices, or reconfiguration of network settings.

We will also need to be notified if the contact for consumables of a device is changed so the delivery of the consumables (EP) is shipped to the correct location

Yes, EP is designed to replenish your spare consumable stock after these have been placed in to the machine. The new consumable will be sent to the consumable contact for the device. For high volume customers a spare set of consumables is recommended. If you have multiple machines of the same model, FUJIFILM Business Innovation will advise the required number of replacement consumables
EP will notify you immediately via email after detecting a low or empty consumable. There should be no need to ring and order your consumables, however if you feel you will require the consumable earlier than the scheduled date, a link is provided in the email to allow for an immediate release of order
EP covers toners, drums and waste toner. Staples are chargeable and will require you to place an order manually to ensure approval of cost

Each MFD contains a “Location” field, to which you can add any information you like (Printer Number, Floor Location etc). This text will be displayed in email notifications and consumable delivery dockets.

If the device was initially setup with you (and your email) as the consumable contact, the first suggestion is to check your Spam folder for the email.

No, if EP or MCT has been setup on the device, this information will be sent automatically to FUJIFILM Business Innovation on a weekly basis, these meter readings will be entered directly in to the billing system.
